Christmas Charity Collection Challenge
For the second year, Premierline has held a charity food collection for the local Morecambe Bay Foodbank. Teams around the businesses were challenged by Premierline’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team to bring some Christmas cheer to those less fortunate by donating boxes filled with much needed items to the Foodbank.
Last year, the donations managed to fill 2 cars, and we are proud to say that this year, we have managed to achieve a similarly generous donation for the Foodbank, filling 32 boxes, which contained food items, but also winter essentials such as hats and gloves, as well as treats like sweets and advent calendars.
Earlier this year, a team from Premierline also went to the Foodbank to volunteer as part of the Uniform Project, a drive for school uniform donations. The Premierline team spent an afternoon at the Foodbank washing and ironing the donated uniforms which could be collected by local families in need.
Premierline’s Managing Director, Lee Tetley, commented on the project, saying “it is amazing to see the generosity shown by the teams around the business and it makes me very proud to make this donation for a second year running. Morecambe Bay Foodbank does incredible work in our local community all year round, and especially at Christmas, which can be difficult for many families. We’re delighted to have this relationship with Morecambe Bay Foodbank and we look forward to continuing to support them in the future.”
In addition to supporting local causes, earlier this year, together with our parent company, Allianz UK, we chose to support the mental health charity, Mind. Over the course of the three year partnership we are aiming to raise £1m. Since the start of our partnership in March, Allianz UK has raised over £270,000.
